Cecelia Tewell, 82, of Carmichaels, Pa., passed away at 9:10 P.M. on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born November 23, 1938 in Searights, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Majesky) Mervay. Mrs. Tewell was a 1956 graduate of Uniontown High School and was a member of the St Matthias Parish in Carmichaels. She worked as a pharmacy technician.

On May 7, 1966, she married Homer R. "Sonny" Tewell, who survives. Also surviving are a sister, Dolores Hrin (Steven) of Uniontown; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Mervay of Uniontown, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Mark Tewell; three brothers, William Mervay, Lawrence Mervay and Michael Mervay and a sister, Rosella Wyckoff.

The family extends a special thanks to Rolling Meadows, Washington Health System-Greene and Amedisys Hospice for the loving care that was provided for Cecelia.

Family and friends are welcome from 3 to 6 P.M. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa.

A blessing service will be held at 4:30 P.M. on Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. J. Francis Frazier officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, Novmeber 24, 2021 in Fairchance Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
