Cindy D. Kurtz

Cindy D. Kurtz, age 66 of Jefferson, Pa. passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 in Uniontown Hospital – WVU Medicine, Uniontown, Pa. She was born January 10, 1957 in Fredericktown, Pa. a daughter of the late Arthur Clarence and Dorothy Jean (Elliot) Wells, Sr.

Mrs. Kurtz attended Brownsville High School and resided most of her life in the Jefferson area.  She worked for Tri-County Home Health Care and later Presbyterian Senior Care in Washington, Pa.  Mrs. Kurtz enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching, playing the lottery and was an avid bingo player.  On September 14, 1974 she married Michael Raymond Kurtz who died November 12, 2018.

Surviving are two daughters, Bernadette J. Kurtz-Davis (Tom) of Waynesburg, Pa. and Michelle R. Kurtz (Brenda) of Morgantown, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Michael Davis, John and Brantley Kurtz; three brothers, Arthur C. Wells, Jr. (Donna) of Brownsville, Pa., Ronald Wells (Jody) of Uniontown and Joseph A. Wells, Sr. (Ruthann) of Brownsville; two sisters, Pamela Rhoads (Rodney) of Wake Forest, NC and Lisa A. Briscoe (Frederick) of Brownsville.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.  Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is a sister Bonnie Trent.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 6 P.M. on Friday, June 16, 2023 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Zac Morton officiating.   The family suggests donations to the Western and Centeral Pennsylvania Chapter – JDRF, 501 Martindale Street, Suite 670, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15212.
