Claudia R. Iams

Claudia R. Iams, 78, of Waynesburg, Pa., passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 at UPMC Washington.  She was born September 12, 1946 in Waynesburg, a daughter of Charles W. and June Marie (Armstrong) Robinson.  Mrs. Iams was a 1964 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School and worked 32 years as a dietary supervisor at the Greene County Memorial Hospital.  After her retirement from the hospital, she worked for Greene County Transportation from 2004 until 2010 and then from 2012 until 2015.  Mrs. Iams was a member of Martha V. Paul Chapter, O. E. S., Washington.  She enjoyed mowing grass and making people laugh.  Her home was "the official coffee shop" for the local Pennsylvania Game Commission.  Mrs. Iams cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. On September 2, 1967, she married Paul L. Iams, who died July 21, 2010.

Surviving are two daughters, Melissa J. Rush of Jefferson, Pa. and Pamela S. Coghill (Cort) of Spring Hill, Fla.; four grandchildren, Brian Rush (Jessie), Jarrett Rush (Tiffany), Kailey DeLeon and Katelyn Coghill; six great grandchildren, Jameson, Asher, Harley, Waylon, Josie and Lainey and an anticipated great granddaughter in March of 2025, Ellie Jane and also several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome from 3 to 6 P.M. on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, F. D. and owner, Aaron S. Walker, F. D., 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa.  The funeral service will follow the visitation on Tuesday at 6:00 P.M.

The family is requesting donations to assist with funeral expenses or a contribution to the Carmichaels Senior Center.
