Clovis Dewey Kuhn, 79, formerly of Fayetteville, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. following a short illness. Dewey was a beloved child of God and a lifelong Christian. He was born on January 13, 1941 a son of the late Willard Cisco Kuhn, Sr. and Anna Ruth (Harless) Kuhn.  Dewey was born in Barboursville, W.Va. and raised in Chesapeake, Ohio, where he graduated from Chesapeake High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a graduate of Marshall University, Huntington, W.Va., with a degree in Accounting & Business and a minor in Chemistry and also a graduate of West Virginia University College of Law, Morgantown, W.Va., where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1973. Dewey had a long and varied career as an accountant and an attorney, working in federal and state offices as well as in private practice. In the late 1990’s he became the owner/operator of Padgett Business Services in Oak Hill, W.Va. He retired in 2018, but still loved accounting and enjoyed helping his friends and family do their taxes. Dewey was an active member of the Fayetteville Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, W.Va. He was a politically active, devoted Democrat.

Dewey cherished his family, especially his beloved wife Karon, his boon companion of the last 25 years. He loved to read, laugh, golf, cook, and work jigsaw puzzles. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters; Anna Hughes, of Blue Bell, Pa. and Stacey Holley (Adam) of Fraziers Bottom, W.Va; a son, Aaron Walker (Joanna), of Carmichaels, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Oscar and Charlotte Hughes, Emma and Grace Holley, and Bradley, Brookelynn, and Brenna Walker; two sisters, Sharon (Sue) Jack and Barbara Galloway, both of Ohio.  Deceased in addition to his parents are two brothers, Willard C. Kuhn, Jr. and John Kuhn.

Family and friends will remember Dewey for his kind and generous heart, his devotion to his children, his quick mind, and his great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

While observing social distancing and wearing face masks, family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 P.M. on Thursday, July 9, 2020 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. with the Rev. Dayton D. Mix officiating.  Interment will be private.
