Darla K. Deter

Darla K. Deter, 59, of Nemacolin, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at WVU Medicine - Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was born March 14, 1961 in Wheeling, W. Va., a daughter of William O. and Patricia L. (Flory) Kelley. Darla was a graduate of Union Local High School, Morristown, Ohio and resided in Nemacolin most of her married life. She had worked at Flushing Manufacturing, Waynesburg, Pa., the Good Samaritan Personal Care Home, Rices Landing, Pa., Ames Department Store and the Right Way Academy of Waynesburg and lastly as the office manager at the Carmichaels Service Center. Darla was a former member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed playing bingo. She was the caretaker for her late mother-in-law, Patricia Ann Morgan. Darla loved and cherished the company of her family.

Surviving are a daughter, Ashley N. Hostetler (fiancé, John Rutan, Jr.) of Nemacolin; two sisters, Eleanor Taylor of Canton, Ohio and Billie Jo Kozlowski (Vince) of Nemacolin; her first husband, Stephen G. Hostetler of Nemacolin and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. Deceased are a brother, Richard Kelley and two sisters, Marcia Boston and Cheryl Ledger.

The family wishes to acknowledge the care and concern expressed by the Brozik Family and Family Ties for their care of Darla during her recent illness.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to help with funeral expenses.
