David Earl Kinsell, 78, of Frostproof, Fla., formerly of Richeyville, Pa., passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026. He was born on July 22, 1947, in Waynesburg, the son of the late Earl Goodlow and Mary Elizabeth (McKnight) Kinsell.

David was a graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School, furthering his education at a community college in North Carolina. He worked as an engineering technician, retiring in 2009 from the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, N.C. On June 27, 1986, he married his late wife, Erma Kay (Daniels) Kinsell.

David was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the U.S. Practical Shooters Association. He participated in competition pistol shooting for over two decades. David also enjoyed classic hot rods, as well as spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his children, Lori Barnhart of Jefferson, Pa., and Matthew Kinsell of Calif.; stepchildren, David Zack (Vickie) of Marianna, Pa., and Brian Zack (Tammy) of Elk View, W.Va.; grandchildren, Ashley Litten, David Zack, Jr. (Cortney), and Brenton Barnhart; great-grandchildren; his cherished friend, Audrey Wilson, and several nieces and nephews.
