David A. Shipley, 57, of Masontown, Pa. and formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. He was born January 30, 1961 in Waynesburg, Pa., a son of the late Paul Herbert and Edna Jean (Campbell) Shipley. Mr. Shipley was a 1979 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and resided in Masontown since 1999. He worked at Swanson Industries in Morgantown, W. Va. until 2017 when he began working for R. R. Donnelly in Pittsburgh, Pa. Mr. Shipley enjoyed boating and four-wheeling. On February 14, 1987 he married Tammy M. Skidmore, who survives.

Also surviving are a step son, Daniel Skidmore of New Geneva, Pa.; a sister, Deborah J. Stull and her husband, William, of Carmichaels and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, James Edward Shipley and Paul Richard Shipley and an infant sister, Terri Lynn Shipley.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Fayette Friends of Animals, 223 Village of Searights, Uniontown, PA 15401.
