Deborah Jean Horvath Wallace, 65, of Carmichaels, formerly of Fairchance and Uniontown, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Born on December 4, 1960, in Smithfield, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Fabian "Fub" Kondrla and Lida Mae (Victor) Kondrla.
Deborah made her home with her husband, Nicholas E. Wallace, who passed away on May 1, 2017. She was a beloved mother, sister, and friend. Music and dancing brought her joy; being serenaded by Frank Sinatra one day, and jamming to Guns N' Roses the next. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 278, Fairchance.
Left to carry on her memory are her daughter, Mundania Horvath of Seattle, Wash.; son, Lt. Col (Ret) Brandon K. Wallace (Terri) of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua T. Wallace (Elizabeth), Hannah Grace Wallace, Emma Shuppe-Horvath, and Willow Shuppe-Horvath; brother, James Kondrla of Uniontown; sisters, Judy Temple (Ron) of Uniontown, Cindi Fisher (Terry) of Point Marion, Mary Angelo (Sullivan) of Leckrone, Pa., Jacky Bryner (Alan) of Dickerson, Pa., and Stephanie Powell (Joe) of Smithfield; Jess Shuppe of Carmichaels; sisters-in-law, Katherine Kondrla of Footedale, Pa. and Virginia Kondrla of Fairchance, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are her son, Joseph L. Horvath, III; brothers, Jerome Kondrla, Fabian Thomas Kondrla, Floyd Kondrla, and Paul R. Kondrla; sisters, Louise Kondrla and Victoria L. Kerwatski, and nephews, James David, Jonathan Kondrla and Timothy Angelo.
Family and friends are welcome from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Yoskovich Funeral Home, Inc., Carmichaels, Pa. A Poppy Service will be conducted by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 278 at 7:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 278, 86 N. Morgantown St., Fairchance, PA, 15436.
