Diana Lynn Ross

Diana Lynn Ross, 79, of Carmichaels, Pa. passed away on May 10, 2026. Born on October 31, 1946, in Washington, Pa., to the late John & Maribel Hines Sweany.

A graduate of Beth-Center High School’s class of 1964. She was a faithful member of the East Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarksville, Pa. She treasured her time playing bingo alongside her dear Bingo buddy, Linda Ross. Together, they frequented the Carmichaels and Cumberland Township Volunteer Fire Company bingos, as well as the Carmichaels Moose bingo, always eager to sit near the office to secure the first opportunities on the tip boards.

Her love extended profoundly to her three grandchildren—Stephen Zacoi, Emily Zacoi, and Alexzander Lawrence—who brought immense joy to her life. An annual highlight for Diana was the King Coal Parade, a celebration she never missed, alongside quiet moments enjoyed on her back porch at home.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Richard A. Ross; her daughters, Kimberly Anne Lawrence (David A.) of Carmichaels and Katherine L. Zacoi of Crucible; her grandchildren; brothers, John Sweany (Harriett) of Amity and Lloyd Sweany of Clarksville; sister, Olivia Guthrie (Edward) of New Freeport; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother Leonard Sweany; and sister-in-law Cathy Sweany.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Inc. Carmichaels, Pa., where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Interment will follow in Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
