Donald D. Humbert, age 86 of Greensboro, Pa., passed away, Monday, March 18, 2024 in the J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. following a brief illness. He was born on April 30, 1937 in Colonial Number 3, Fayette County, Pa., the third son of the late James C. and Vera Anne (Bock) Humbert, Sr. Mr. Humbert graduated from Mapletown High School on May 27, 1956 and entered the United States Marine Corps four days later.
Upon being released from active duty he married his high school sweetheart Keitha Moore (AKA Kay) on March 22, 1958. Don and Kay had two children, Donald Lee Humbert and Vien Keith Humbert. During their marriage Don and Kay live in Hyattsville and Baltimore, Md. and Crystal Lake, Ill. They returned to Greensboro on May 31, 2002 when Don retired. He was employed by Xerox Corporation in 1962 as a Technical Representative and retired as a Corporate Executive in 2001 after 39 years of service.
Surviving in addition to his children are two brothers, William E. Humbert (Wilda) of Greensboro and Richard A. Humbert (Linda) of Hagerstown, Md. and his close partner for the past several years of his life, Frances Pratt. Deceased in addition to his wife and parents is a sister, Sonia Cesarino and brother, James C. Humbert, Jr.
Family and friends are welcome from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with Pastor Harry Hawk officiating. A Masonic service will be at 6:15 p.m. on Friday by Valley Lodge No. 459 F. & A.M. The family suggests that donations be made to the Carmichaels Senior Activity Center, PO Box 184, Carmichaels, Pa. 15320.
