Doris "Dodo" Bodnovich

April 19, 1938 — December 8, 2024

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Constance Wiltrout Bodnovich, affectionately known as "Dodo" to all who met her. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, left us on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the age of 86.  Born on April 19, 1938, in Bobtown, Pennsylvania to Harry and Jennie Wiltrout, DoDo raised her family with her husband, Kenneth, in Greensboro, Pennsylvania and later they relocated to Gallatin, Tennessee to be near family and enjoy retirement. Dodo lived a life defined by love, humor, optimism, hard work, and unwavering dedication to her family. A funny and lively soul, she brought a smile to everyone who knew her, always offering her assistance or a homemade treat. Her spirit was matched only by her boundless love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all those she held dear. She was extremely proud of her family and enjoyed boasting about her kids and grandkids.

Dodo was a lifelong homemaker who took great pride in nurturing those around her. Whether hosting a big family dinner or sharing her famous cookies and baked goods, she had an incredible ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved. Her beautiful home was spotless and always filled with laughter and warmth. Outside their home, Dodo loved cheering for her grandkids at their many sporting events. She was a lifelong Pittsburgh fan, and never missed watching a Pirates baseball game. She also enjoyed shopping, dressing to the nines, and adding to her extensive shoe collection.

Dodo is survived by her adoring husband of 68 years, Kenneth; sons Kenneth II (Beth) of Fairmont, W. Va. and Kerry (LuAnn) of Highland Heights, Ohio; daughter Kara (David) Brumley of Hendersonville, Tenn.; grandsons Kerry Lee (Bri), Karson (Shannon), Kolton, Karter, Kolby and Kooper; granddaughters Kayla, Kristina and Kenzie, and great grandchildren Kennedy and Konnor. Also surviving are a brother Edward (Carolyn) Wiltrout and several nieces, nephews, who she cherished. Her legacy of love, strength, and joy will continue to inspire and bring a smile to all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings in childhood, as well as brothers Bill and Harry and sisters Gayle, Grace and Babe.

Family and friends are welcome to come together to celebrate her memory and offer their condolences.  Dodo will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

In honor of her life, family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 P.M. on Thursday at Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Friday, December 13, 2024.  A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Masontown, Pa.

Interment will take place at Greene County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to Alive Hospice Nashville .
