Elizabeth Ann Santiago

Elizabeth Ann Santiago, 83, of Carmichaels, formerly of Long Island, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 7, 2026. Born on May 26, 1943, in Queens, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Martin and Bertha Youhouse Seaman.

Elizabeth was a 1961 graduate of New High Park Memorial High School in Nassau County, N.Y. She worked as a mail clerk for a direct mail marketing company for many years. Throughout her life, Elizabeth's proudest role was that of a loving mother and grandmother.

Elizabeth's stubborn streak was matched by her great sense of humor.  She was a horror movie buff. Animals held a special place in her heart. She was a dog lover, taking pleasure in the company of her own dogs, Coco, Puppy, and Gizzy. She also cared for her feathered companion, Billy the Bird.

She is survived by her son, Richard J. Larocco (Susan) of Bayshore, N.Y.; daughter, Laura Martinez (Bruce) of Farmingville, N.Y.; grandchildren, Tara, Krista, Michael, Ricky, Connor, and Brian; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Norman Seaman and Robert Seaman; cousin, Libby Smitley; and the father of her children, Joseph Larocco.
