Evelyn F. Newman

Evelyn F. Newman, 94, of Carmichaels, Pa., passed away on December 11, 2018 at an assisted living facility in Verona, Pa. Evelyn was a retired math teacher for the Carmichaels Area School District. Until the last few years, she enjoyed traveling, golfing, motorcycling, boating, playing chess, and spending time with her husband and family. She will be remembered by all who knew her as an honest, friendly, caring and cheerful person.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Earl, whom she married in 1945. Also surviving are her son, Barry (Diane), of Monroeville, Pa.; her granddaughter, Leslie, of Plum Borough, Pa.; her grandson, Bryan (Nicole) and great grandchildren, Alex and Charlie, of Plum Borough. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, primarily in Illinois, California, and Virginia. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene, Grace, and Loretta, and her brothers, Edwin, Arthur, and Joseph, all of whom lived in Illinois.

There will be no public viewing and arrangements are private.
