Frank E. Rychtarsky

Frank Edward Rychtarsky, 81, of Carmichaels, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025. Born on May 3, 1944, in Carmichaels, he was the son of the late Adolph Frank and Martha "Margaret" (Stickles) Rychtarsky.

In 1964, Frank graduated from Cumberland Township High School. He went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War, from October of 1964 to October of 1967. After returning from the war, Frank began his 35 year career as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service, from 1968 until his retirement in 2003. On September 26, 1970, he married his sweetheart, Charlotte (Wolfe) Rychtarsky, who survives.

Frank was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Local 520 and a member of the Carmichaels Gun Club. He took pleasure in being outdoors, enjoying time spent hunting, fishing, and gardening. His hobbies also included bowling and shooting pool.

Along with his beloved wife, Frank is survived by his children, Frank Rychtarsky, Jr. (Doria) of Uniontown, Tina Riley (Gary) of Carmichaels, Shawn Rychtarsky (Melissa) of Mather, and Matthew Rychtarsky (Pam) of Jefferson; grandchildren, Erin Rychtarsky, Brianna Rychtarsky, Alexandra McGee, Jessica Rychtarsky, Cristian Rychtarsky, and Connor Rychtarsky; sister, Katherine Gould, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Louise Taylor, Helen Hindman, and Dolores Enoff.

Family and friends are welcome from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Yoskovich Funeral Home, Inc., Carmichaels. Military honors are scheduled to take place; the time is pending.
