Grace B. Sanders

Grace B. Sanders, age 85 of Waynesburg, Pa. and formerly of Carmichaels and Bobtown, Pa. passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 in the Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Waynesburg.  She was born July 19, 1938 in Pisgah, W. Va., a daughter of the late Lyman Webster and Bessie Myrtle (Lewis) Cress.  She married Lawrence Junior Sanders, Jr. who died January 9, 2017.  Mrs. Sanders lived in the Bobtown area for 23 years and was a member of the former Hargis Creek Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school.

Surviving is a brother, Earl Daniel Cress of Grafton, W.Va.; a sister, Hazel Jacobs of Carmichaels and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is a son, Lawrence J. Sanders, II; daughter, Pamela Joy Sanders; brothers, Lyman Webster Cress, Thomas Ray Cress and Roy Arthur Cress; sisters, Mary Alice Cress, Lydia Carey and Irene Cress who died in infancy.

Family and friends are welcome from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. following the visitation with the Rev. Ben Bradmon officiating.  Interment will be private in the Laurel Point Cemetery.  The family suggests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Rd., Waynesburg, pa. 15370.
