Helen I. Fisher

Helen I. (Scanlon) Fisher died of natural causes on Friday, February 24, 2023 in Northeast Georgia Hospital, Gainesville, Ga. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and grew up in Nemacolin, Pa. with her grandparents as an only child. Helen graduated from Carmichaels Area High School in 1964 and was a graduate of Waynesburg College with a bachelor's degree in administration. She worked in the medical field during her adult life and for the same doctors for over 20 years.

Helen married Richard Beno Juliani in 1964 and with him had two children, Richard, Jr. and Christine. Her husband, Richard, died in August of 1977. She then married Donald Fisher in August of 1986 and he passed away in June of 2012.

Helen lived in a variety of states during her lifetime, but Florida seemed to be her favorite. She enjoyed traveling and her family. Helen was funny, sarcastic, smart and caring. She made friends everywhere she went. People were always attracted to her positive personality. Helen was a writer and had several of her writings published in several popular magazines. After retiring, she moved to Georgia to be close to family. She was a member of 12Stone Church and Silver Sneakers where she made friends with an awesome group of people with whom Helen enjoyed spending time. She would dog-sit her daughter's Mini Schnauzers several times a week and they became very attached to each other. The last four years of her life was spent living with her daughter, son-in-law and their three dogs in Buford, Ga.

Helen is survived by her daughter Christine Ball (Richard) of Buford, Ga., her grandchildren, Kimmie Golden (Will) of Commerce, Ga., Amanda Juliani of Morgantown W. Va., Anthony Juliani (Kourtney) of Dunbar, Pa., and Sarah Juliani, Zach Juliani, Nicholas Juliani and Nathan Juliani, all of Carmichaels, Pa. She is preceded in death by her son, Richard Beno Juliani in August of 2022, her parents Dorothy Rose in May of 2012 and Charles Rose in August of 2012 and her grandparents Irene Bankovich in 1990 and George Bankovich in 1982.

Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family from 4 to 7 P.M. on Saturday, March 4, 2023 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa.
