John Barry Chulick, 78, of Rices Landing, Pa., passed away at 4:08 A.M. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. He was born July 26, 1944 in Brownsville, Pa., a son of the late John P. and Ellen P. (Nesto) Chulick. Mr. Chulick served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and worked as an electrician for the coal mining industry retiring from the Cumberland Mine in Greene County. He was a member of Valley Lodge No. 459, F. & A. M., Masontown, the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection and the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Pittsburgh. On July 8, 1967 he married Charlene W. Swift , who died April 29, 2022.
Surviving are a daughter, Winona L. Chulick (Brian Taylor) of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Dennis G. Chulick (Debbie) of Clarksville, Pa. and two nieces, Danielle Chulick and Deneen Shrader (Mark).
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Pastor Betty Riecks will officiate.
Interment will follow at Jefferson Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Greene County Honor Guard and the U. S. Army.
Valley Lodge No. 459, F. & A. M. will conduct Masonic services at 7:30 P.M. on Friday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Wounded Warrior Project .
