John Wallace Haddox

John Wallace Haddox, age 76, of Carmichaels, Pa., formerly of Florida, died on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in the J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. following a lengthy illness.  He was born April 22, 1944 in Portsmouth, Va. a son of the late Robert Gilbert and Clara Bell (Lowe) Haddox.  Mr. Haddox was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam War.  Upon his return he worked as a Supervisor for Cemex Concrete Plant in Eustis, Fla.  He had a love and passion for restoring and rebuilding antique cars.  He was a member of an antique car club, when he lived in Florida.  He cherished spending time with his two toy poodles, Buttons and Gizmo.  On January 11, 1980 he married Ella Mae (Anderson) Haddox, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, John Wayne Haddox of Fla., Stephen Haddox of Colo. and Daniel Aaron Hannen (Michelle) of Fla.; three daughters, Martha Haddox of Fla., Terri Kim Shawley (Charles) of Pa. and Bobbi Jo Hannen (Phil) of Ala.; brother Richard Haddox of Ga. and step brother Ernest Lowe; two sister Eluezia Cree Torres of Ga. and Jackie Jennings of Colo.; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.  Deceased in addition to his parents are three sisters, Barbara Ann Trant, Sharon Manchester and Judy Grawey.

A Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at the Carmichaels American Legion Post 400 Carmichaels, Pa.
