John Siko, 60, of Carmichaels, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born November 20, 1962 in Uniontown, Pa., a son of the late John E. and Josephine S. (Bryan) Siko. John has been a resident of Cumberland Township most of his life and was a member of the John Corbly Memorial Baptist Church in Garards Fort, Pa. He served as an active member and now an honorary member of the Carmichaels & Cumberland Township Volunteer Fire Company and a member of the Greene County Firemen's Association and the Western Pennsylvania Firemen's Association. At the time of his passing, John was working at the Consol Energy Baily Mine. On June 7, 2002, he married Danielle L. Barish, who survives.
Also surviving are a brother, James E. Siko (Wendy) of Morgantown, W. Va.; two sisters, Barbara Budziak (Lee) of Alvaton, Ky. and Karen Siko of Albuquerque, N. Mex.; nieces and nephews, Justin Siko, Jason Siko, Regan Siko, Jeff Budziak (Lauren), Jackie Gilbert (Jeff) and Matthew Cessna (Hannah); two sisters-in-law, Cheri Barish and Brandy Cessna (William) and his mother-in-law, Carol Barish.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 P.M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa.
The Carmichaels & Cumberland Township Volunteer Fire Company will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 P.M. on Friday in the funeral home followed at 8:00 P.M. by the funeral service. Pastor Gary L. Whipkey will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the chapel at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, 642 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Carmichaels & Cumberland Township Volunteer Fire, PO Box 123, Carmichaels, PA 15320.
