Joseph Stephen Boledovic, 72, of Clarksville, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. He was born on August 13, 1952 in Waynesburg, Pa., the son of the late Alexander and Margaret (Szerensci) Boledovic.
Joseph was a graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School. He attended Mon Valley Technical School where he received a degree as a journeyman millwright. He retired from Allegheny Ludlum where he served as a maintenance planner. He also served as an officer in the Steelworkers Union, Local #7139, a board member with the Washington Federal Credit Union, and a volunteer fireman for the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Department. He was Roman Catholic by faith.
Joe, as many affectionately called him, took great pleasure in being outdoors, and had a fondness for fishing. Each year he looked forward to the warmer weather so that he could spend time out on the patio. He was well-known for having a pack of Sonomas and a scratch-off in one pocket, and the other loaded full of change. He’d let the change accumulate, until it was time to cash in for more lotto tickets. During the holidays, his sons knew what was coming in their stockings, more tickets. Joe coached little league baseball; he loved his sports. He especially enjoyed watching his sons playing. On Sundays, you could find him watching his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, of which he held season tickets for many years. His dogs, Cooper and Sammy, held a very special place in his heart.
Surviving is his loving wife of 52 years, Lorraine (Vilcoss) Boledovic; two sons, Craig Boledovic (Cara) of Walkersville, Md., and Brandon Boledovic (Megan) of Morgantown, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Seth, Evan, Paige, and Isla Boledovic; one sister, Dolores Cole of Lorain, Ohio; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Boledovic of Brookpark, Ohio, and Sandy and Richard Weidner of Lancaster, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his son, Brian Boledovic; brother, Robert Boledovic; and two brothers-in-law, Ed Cole and Bert Vilcoss.
All arrangements are private.
