Joseph Lewis Horvath, III, of Carmichaels, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the age of 42. Born on October 11, 1983, in Uniontown, he was the son of Joseph L. Horvath, Jr. and the late Deborah J. Wallace.
Joey was a graduate of Carmichaels Area High School. He took pleasure in reading and researching various topics, particularly his family genealogy, had a passion for history and politics, and loved music and animals. Playing video games at some point during the day was a guarantee. All who knew him, knew that Joey relished in being right. His sweet girls were especially important, and he loved to be outside with them.
Along with his father, he is survived by his daughters, Emma and Willow Shuppe-Horvath of Carmichaels; partner, Jess Shuppe of Carmichaels; sister, Mundania Horvath of Seattle, Wash.; brother, Brandon K. Wallace (Terri) of Amarillo, Texas, and countless other family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph L. Horvath, Sr. and Harriet Horvath, and Fabian "Fub" Kondrla and Lida Mae (Victor) Kondrla.
A memorial gathering will take place, alongside his mother's visitation, from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Yoskovich Funeral Home, Inc. in Carmichaels.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Road, Waynesburg PA, 15370.
