Judith Lynne "Judy" Ball, 72, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Carmichaels, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 29, 2025. Born on March 24, 1953, in Waynesburg, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Margaret Ruth Jacobs.
Judy was a graduate of Carmichaels High School, class of 1972. On June 30, 2000, Judy married the late Richard C. Ball, at the First Baptist Church of Carmichaels, a place that was a focal point of her faith. Judy loved to be outdoors, enjoying the farm animals, and the beauty of nature that surrounded her. She also found pleasure in playing games on her phone and watching an episode of her favorite television show, NCIS. Judy loved her family and cherished her time with them, especially that spent with her grandchildren. Her children fondly remember her as "Superwoman," for her ability to juggle the demands of life with strength, grace and love.
Left to cherish her memory are sons, Jeff Jacobs (Melanie) of Carmichaels, Scott McDaniel (Linda) of Uniontown, and Richard Ball (Nicole) of Fairmont, West Virginia; daughter, Jennifer McDaniel (Robert) of Mount Pleasant; grandchildren, Lily, Preston, Ali, Adaleigh, and Kailen; brother, John Jacobs (Irene) of Waynesburg; sister, Margaret Jacobs of Uniontown, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by her faithful furry companion, Buddy.
