Kimberly Sue Lightner Courtwright, 46, of Center Township, Greene County and formerly of Aleppo, Pa., passed away unexpectedly at 4:14 P.M. on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the emergency room at Washington Health System-Greene, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born July 7, 1972 in Franklin Township, Greene County, a daughter of Judy A. (Lewis) Lightner of Waynesburg and the late Jack F. Lightner. Kimberly was a graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School and resided in Greene County all of her life. She worked as a bartender at Tommy Boy's Tavern in Waynesburg where she was known to be a good listener. Kimberly was a member of the First Christian Church in Waynesburg and served as a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed photography and was a very loving, kind, thoughtful and nonjudgmental person and also a wonderful mother.
Surviving are her children, Amberly K. Courtwright, Caleb J. Courtwright and Bethany Rose Courtwright, all at home; two brothers, Jack William Lightner and his wife, Debbie, of Waynesburg and Kevin Todd Lightner and his wife, Tina, of Baldwin, Pa.; the father of her children, Jacob A. Courtwright of Aleppo; her companion Robert Cowden; a sister-in-law, Nancy E. Kennedy of Fairmont, W. Va. and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., the hour of service on Saturday, February 23, 2019 in the Fordyce United Methodist Church, 201 Fordyce Hill Road, Waynesburg, Pa. The Rev. James D. Lewis, Sr. will officiate.
Private interment will follow at Garards Fort Cemetery.
