Linda Jenkins Simpson

Linda Jenkins Simpson, 77, of Carmichaels, formerly of Waynesburg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 7, 2026. Born on February 25, 1949, in Waynesburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Catherine (Wilson) Jenkins.

Linda was a 1967 graduate of West Greene High School. On July 24, 1971, she married the late William "Butch" Simpson. Linda was a longtime member of the Fordyce United Methodist Church in Waynesburg, where she played piano.

Known for her big personality, Linda spoke her mind and made you laugh. She always made an impression, and was unforgettable. Linda cherished her animals, especially her cats and dogs. She raised black angus cattle and cared for horses on the farm. She was a lover of Elvis, and enjoyed old western movies. Above everything else in life, Linda loved her grandson, treasuring their time together.

Linda is survived by her grandson, Brett William Simpson (Jeanette) of Crucible; and the mother of her grandson, Amanda Bowman of Vestaburg. 

A memorial service honoring Linda's life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Yoskovich Funeral Home, Inc., Carmichaels.
