Lynn D. "Butch" Hillberry, 75, of Carmichaels, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 27, 2025. He was born on May 22, 1950, in Waynesburg, the son of the late Alden D. "Bud" and Mary Jo (Blue) Hillberry.
Butch grew up in Deemston, and was a graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School. He worked as a construction laborer for many years. Butch was an avid outdoorsman, with a love for both hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending his time making and carving walking sticks. He could always be found at his favorite spot to enjoy a meal, the Hartley Inn.
Butch is survived by his son, Del Hillberry of Jefferson; daughters, Lynette Linley of Masontown, and Angela Moore (Travis) of Jefferson; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brothers, Bill Hillberry and Jeff Hillberry, both of Brave, Pa.; a sister, Nancy Sisler of Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Spencer "Jody" Hillberry.
It was Butch's wishes that his body be donated to the West Virginia University Human Gift Registry. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Hartley Inn Restaurant in Carmichaels.
