Mary Ann Stuck, 80, of Carmichaels, Pa. and formerly of Washington, Pa., passed away at 12:55 PM on Saturday, February 19, 2022 in Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born September 2, 1941 in Canton Township, Washington County, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph S. and Mary (Jubas) Kania.
Mary Ann graduated from Washington High school in 1959, and then Washington Hospital School of Nursing in 1962. She was a diligent and caring registered nurse at hospitals all over Greene and Washington Counties through the 1970s. People always called her asking for medical advice, on occasion jumping in the car and racing somewhere to give first aid. Sometimes the family would be out somewhere and she would see a previous patient and say, "Do you see that person, I gave them their allergy shots."
On July 7, 1962, she married Robert D. Stuck, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth A. Klimek (Jason) of Gaithersburg, Md.; a granddaughter, Sophia Klimek; a sister, Joyce A. Wingett of Sewickley, Pa.; a niece, Donnica R. Wingett and two nephews, Michael A. Kania and Christopher G. Kania. Deceased is a brother, Joseph E. Kania.
Mary Ann also was a member and served as the secretary for Greene Valley Presbyterian Church in Carmichaels. She loved her church and was a faithful servant to the Lord. She had a love for all animals and cared for countless cats and dogs. Mary Ann was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She had a talent for teaching and sharing, filling the house with music and books, and loved a cup of tea and a British mystery. She had a talent for teaching and sharing, made experiences happen, and her family is grateful for every time she said, "Hey, want to try this?" Oh, and man, could she jitter-bug, and was proud to be Polish.
