Patricia Ann Hamercheck

Patricia Ann Hamercheck, 90, of Jefferson, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Born on March 11, 1935, Patricia was the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine Labutta Shenal.

Patty attended Jefferson-Morgan High School. Over the years, she was employed by Greenway Manufacturing, Evergreen Assisted Living, and the Cumberland Mine. On July 6, 1985, she married Dale A. Hamercheck. They shared 17 wonderful years together until his passing on June 10, 2003.

Patty had a love for flowers. She found pleasure in planting and tending to beautiful flowers all around her home. She also enjoyed shopping. Of all things, it was her family that brought her the greatest happiness. Patty cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Nyswaner (Bob "Bones") of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Curtis (Michelle), Christiaan, and Rachelle (Joseph); great-grandchildren, Brittany, Jillian (Preston), Jacob, and Joelle; daughter-in-law, Eve Smitley; sisters-in-law, Gail Hook and Janet Shenal; niece, Lisa; best friend, John Bochnak, and his children; and her faithful feline companion, Alley.

In addition to her husband and parents, Patty was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Smitley; daughter, Shelley Snyder; grandson, Shaun Smitley; brother, Bernard Shenal; sister-in-law, Jean Zahara; and nephew, Richard "Richie" Shenal.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Jefferson Cemetery.
