Phyllis Carr Radovich

November 20, 1927 — July 29, 2023

Phyllis Carr Radovich, 95, of Silver Spring, Md., and formerly of Greensboro, Pa., passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Sunrise at Columbia, Columbia, Md.  She was born November 20, 1927, in Greensboro, a daughter of the late Walter P. and Mary L. (Black) Carr.  Mrs. Radovich was a graduate of Mapletown High School in Greensboro.  On March 6, 1948, she married Edward Radovich who died August 14, 2016.  Being a military wife, she resided with her husband in locations in France, England, and the United States.  Mrs. Radovich consistently set up a warm and secure home for her family where ever the family resided.  In 1967, the family settled in Silver Spring, Md. where she became a member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in 1968.  Mrs. Radovich was active in her church serving with the altar guild and Shepherd's Table and also volunteering for numerous fund-raising activities.  While in Silver Spring, she won the hearts of her neighbors.  Mrs. Radovich's flower gardens were always admired by the local community, and her lemon cakes and nut rolls were greatly enjoyed by family and friends.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary R. Koppal (Raymond) of Casa Grande, Ariz. and Janis R. Stengle (Thomas) of Clarksville, Md.; three grandchildren, Christian P. Stengle (Carrie Carlson), Matthew Koppal (Crystal) and Brian Koppal (Theresa); six great grandchildren, Lindsey Koppal, Christian Koppal, Landon Koppal, Renee Koppal, Grant Koppal and Reid Koppal and several nieces and nephews.

A sister, Anne "Weegie" Tudish of Greensboro survived at the time of her passing and is now deceased along with an additional sister, Pattie Huey and her husband, Robert; a brother, Dickie Carr, who died in childhood and a brother-in-law, Peter Tudish.

Family and friends are welcome from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon, the hour of a memorial service on Saturday, September 9, 2023 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa.  Dr. William L. Parker will officiate.

Interment of her cremains will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro, Pa.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 818 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring, MD  20901.
