Ralph C. Mcwilliams

Ralph C. McWilliams, 83, of Carmichaels, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024 in WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital.  He was born April 14, 1941 in Waynesburg, Pa., a son of the late Charles L. "Bucky" and Velma (Walters) McWilliams.  Ralph served on the Carmichaels Borough Council, coached Little League, played softball and was a former member of a bowling league with his late wife, Mardell.  He also volunteered for various activities in Carmichaels.  For a short time, Ralph taught welding at the Greene County Career and Technology Center.  He worked as a welder at Freuhauf Corporation in Uniontown and McGraw Edison in Canonsburg, Pa.  Ralph assisted in welding the structure for the new sports stadiums in Pittsburgh while working for Celo-Tex-Metal Processing of America, Brownsville, Pa.  For about 10 years, he worked at the Nemacolin Mine and also for David Campbell.  Afterward, Ralph worked for Sensus in Uniontown.  He became a salesman for Route 21 Homes, Bryson Motors in Uniontown and Fike Chevrolet in Masontown, Pa.  Ralph enjoyed golf and country music and was an avid reader.  On June 16, 1958, he married Hannah Mardell McPherson who died May 7, 2023.

Surviving are his children, Dolores I. O'lear of Carmichaels, Michael W. McWilliams of Pensacola, Fla., Mark A. McWilliams of Jefferson, Pa., Jeffrey L. McWilliams (Karen) of Carmichaels and Robin L. Wendorf (Raymond) of Gulf Shores, Ala.; four grandchildren, Jeffery McWilliams, Justin McWilliams (Angela), Eric O'Lear and Kevin McWilliams; a great grandson, Colt McWilliams and several nieces and nephews.  Deceased are two brothers, Morgan L. McWilliams and Richard McWilliams.

There will be no public viewing and funeral arrangements are private.
