Robert L. Patterson, Sr.

Robert Lane Patterson, Sr., 91, of Waynesburg, passed away on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026. He was born on May 13,1935, in Greene County, to the late George Washington Patterson, Sr. and Susie Jane (Wood) Patterson.

Robert was a hard-working man, a loving husband and father, and a true people person who never met a stranger. He and his brother Raymond formed their own residential construction company, Patterson Brother's Construction. He spent his working years building nearly 300 beautiful homes in Greene County alongside his brother and their sons.

Robert and his beloved wife, Daisy "Ellen" Wilson Patterson, shared 67 years of marriage before her passing in October of 2022. Together they built a life centered around their family. As their family grew, his hobby of building allowed for him to easily add more rooms to their home. Robert and Ellen attended the Sherman Avenue Church of Christ in Waynesburg along with several family members and great friends.

He is survived by his children, Robert "Whitey" Patterson, Jr. (Sharon), Bruce "Ed" Patterson (Debra), Donna L. Hurd (Joe), Ronald C. Patterson, Janet "Tillie" Patterson (Jackie), and Deborah Armel (Barry); sisters-in-law, Dolly Wilson Newkirk and Margaret "Peggy" Morris Wilson; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Richard Allen Patterson; brothers, David "Lester" Patterson, Sr., Earl Patterson, Sr., George Patterson, Jr., Charles "Raymond" Patterson, and William "Bill" Patterson; and sisters, Mildred "Millie" Sokol, Lucille Ferguson, and Evelyn Patterson.

Bob and Ellen's home is now quiet, but the love, stories, laughter, and memories created there will continue to live on in their children and the generations that follow.

Family and friends are welcome from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Yoskovich Funeral Home, Inc., Carmichaels. A private interment will take place at Greene County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
