Sandra Lee Rankin

Sandra "Sandy" Lee Rankin, 79, of Clarksville, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026. She was born on June 30, 1947, the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (McGee) Presock.

Sandra was a graduate of Beth-Center High School, Class of 1966. She owned and operated Sandy’s Dog Grooming for over 30 years. She also worked as a receptionist at Millsboro Lumber and as a custodian at Save-A-Lot in Millsboro.

Her passion for animals was evident not only in her career, but in her home. She found great joy in her dogs, Blitz and Pugsly; cats, Sammy, Trouble, Dizetta, Bubbles, and Rocket; her pet mallard duck, and horses. Her hobbies included crocheting, gardening, cooking, and baking, with her macaroni salad and spaghetti being favorites among her family. She enjoyed exploring yard sales and flea markets, especially those at the Carmichaels Fire Hall.

Sandra will be remembered by her son, Albert “Butch” Rankin of Piney Flats, Tenn.; daughter, Carolyn Ann Berry of Clarksville; grandchildren, Michael, Robert, Cassandra, Jameson, Angel, Cole, Angelica, Davidson, and Lillie; great-grandchild, Hunter; brother, Robert “Bobby” Presock (Carol) of Washington, Pa.; sister, Sharon Parry (Ivan) of Graysville; several nieces and nephews; and her companions children, who were like her own, Betsy Engle (Bogdan), Rene Shatto (Jeff), and Kevin Engle (Ashley).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rankin;  son-in-law, Robert Berry and her companion, Rolland “Diz” Engle.
