Shelley Lynn Kennedy

Shelley Lynn Kennedy, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 1, 2025. She was born on August 30, 1961, to the late Wayne Knisely, Sr. and Evelyn (May) Knisely. Shelley graduated from Jefferson-Morgan High School before furthering her education at Laurel Business Institute. The skills and knowledge she gained there equipped her for a career that she loved as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She found great fulfillment in her work, committed to the well-being of those around her. She married James Kennedy on June 14, 1984.  Shelley was a member of the Rolling Meadows Church of God.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her son, James Michael Kennedy of Waynesburg; grandson, Preston James Kennedy; brothers, Wayne Knisely (Cindy) of Waynesburg, Dave Knisely (Sharon) of Carmichaels, John Lagaza (Bonnie) of Waynesburg, and Dale Knisely (Karen) of Port St. Lucie, Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Knisely, and sister Beverly Balsinger.

All arrangements are entrusted to Yoskovich Funeral Home. A time to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
