Sheri Lynn Smotzer, age 50 of Greensboro, Pa. died unexpectedly Sunday, April 11, 2021 in J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. She was born August 19, 1970 in Uniontown, Pa. a daughter of Sharon L. (Wilson) Smith of Greensboro and the late William E. Bellis. Sheri was a 1988 graduate of Mapletown High School and resided most of her life in the Greensboro area. She was an avid Bingo player and loved spending time with family and friends, especially being GiGi to her grandchildren. On November 25, 2000 she married Donald Lee Smotzer, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband Donald and mother Sharon L. Smith and her husband, Nelson are two sons, Tyler Scott Holbert and Brandon William Smotzer both of Greensboro; daughter Bethany Lenee Fordyce and her husband, Heath of Prosperity, Pa.; two grandchildren, Lynlee Jane Fordyce and Preslee Kay Fordyce; four brothers, William “Bill” Bellis and his wife, Chris of Dilliner, Pa., Michael S. Marshall of Greensboro, Joseph and James Bellis; two sisters, Bobbi Antill and her husband, JR of Greensboro and Crystal Conard of Carmichaels, Pa. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the Greensboro & Mon Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, Greensboro, Pa. The family suggests donations to the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, PO Box 9300, Morgantown, W.Va. 26505-9300 (checks payable to WVU Foundation and on the memo line our loved ones name and Comfort Fund) or the Greensboro & Mon Twp.
