Stephen T. “TOJO” “Baron” Kartley, 82, of Waynesburg, PA, formerly of Crucible, PA, passed away at 7:15 P.M. on Monday, May 7, 2018, at Waynesburg Healthcare & Rehab Center after an extended illness. He was born February 22, 1936 in Greene County, PA, a son of the late Steve and Susie (Mehalovich) Kartley. Stephen attended Cumberland Township High School and served 14 years in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Longfield Horse Farm in Shenandoah Junction, WV. After his retirement he was employed with White Tree Services in Waynesburg, PA. Stephen enjoyed watching horse races at the Meadows Race Track and the morning camaraderie at McDonalds, by sharing coffee with friends and patrons. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Surviving are three sisters, Ann Kartley of Washington, PA, Stephanie Colbert (Robert) of Mentor, OH, and Susan White (Michael) of Waynesburg, PA; five brothers, George Kartley of Waynesburg, PA, Michael Kartley (Maria) of Hagerstown, MD, Vincent Kartley of Atlanta, GA, John Kartley (Jeanette) of Solon, OH, and Joseph Kartley (Debbie) of  Charlotte, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a sister, Mary Kartley and three brothers, Nick, Melvin, and Peter Kartley.

Services are private and under the direction of Yoskovich Funeral Home (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa.

Rev. Sasa Nedic will officiate.
