Stephen J. Markulik, 51, of Carmichaels, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in his home. He was born December 29, 1966 in Washington D.C., a son of James and Boots (King) Markulik. Stephen was a 1985 graduate of Parkview High School, Sterling, Va. He worked most recently for Waynesburg University as a cook, Hot Rods House of BBQ, Waynesburg, Pa. and as a licensed practical nurse at Mount Saint Macrina Manor, Uniontown, Pa.
Stephen was a lively and charitable person who enjoyed helping others.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Todd Markulik and his wife, Christine, of Mt. Airy, Md.; a sister, Susan Hagler and her husband, Steven, of Melbourne, Australia; four nephews, Daniel Markulik and his wife, Irene, Cal Markulik, Ben Markulik and Taylor Hagler and his fiancé, Nicole; two nieces Nikki Hagler and Stephanie Hagler; one great niece and three great nephews.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M on Monday, July 2, 2018 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, followed at 11:00 A.M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, Carmichaels with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant. A vigil service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery.
