Susan D. Ganocy, 73, of Carmichaels, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. Born on May 22, 1952, in Waynesburg, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Margaret Rosella (Fox) Willis.
Susan was a graduate of Carmichaels Area High School. She went on to work as a teller at The Gallatin Bank in Waynesburg before becoming a pharmacy technician at the Dry Tavern Pharmacy and then later at the Giant Eagle Pharmacy in Dry Tavern. On August 31, 1974, she married her beloved husband, George Gary Ganocy, who survives.
Susan was a devoted member of the Mapletown Methodist Church. She had a passion for music. She enjoyed going out to eat; frequenting Betty Mae's in Masontown with George. Susan was kind, compassionate, and cared about everyone. Family gatherings were important to her, as she cherished her time with her family.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her sister, Bonnie Eggelston (Dick) of Colorado, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dwayne and Dwight Willis, and her sister, Darlene Rak.
Family and friends are welcome from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 2, 2026, in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Inc., Carmichaels. An additional visitation will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Lanfer Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery.
