Thomas Lee Adamson, 68 of Elyria, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. He was born on May 15, 1952 in Waynesburg, Pa. to the late John Adamson and Kathryn (Ross) Rosenbaum. Thomas was a 1970 graduate of Windham High School and managed a Clark gas station for 20 years before becoming a hub driver for Auto Zone for 13 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Thomas is especially remembered for drag racing and working on his race cars with his son, family camping trips when his children were younger, going to Cedar Point on weekends with his grandchildren, a family trip to Disney World in 2004, fishing in his younger years, playing cards at family gatherings and visiting his family in Pennsylvania.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sherry (Edgar) Adamson, whom he married on May 28, 1977. Also surviving are a son Darin (Kelli) of Elyria, Ohio; a daughter Heather of Elyria; four grandchildren, Kayla Adamson, Abigail Gutierrez, Robert Adamson, Janina Adamson; a great granddaughter, Lilith Lowrimore, all of Elyria; three sisters; a brother and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two brothers and his grandparents.

There will be no public viewing and a celebration his life will be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made to the American Heart Association in his memory.
