Thomas "Sig" Roman, 59, of Adah, Pa., passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. He was born June 16, 1965 in Detroit, Mich., a son of the late Eugene F. and Georgetta M. (Karpency) Roman. Tom was a 1983 graduate of German Township High School and received a Bachelors Degree in nursing from Waynesburg College. He was last employed as a dialysis nurse with Fresenius. Tom enjoyed boating and spending time on the water with his brother and family. He was an avid Steelers fan. Tom had a talent for playing the guitar and was a former band member of Hit n' Run. He was proud to work in the corner as a cut man for his Karpency cousins' boxing matches.
Tom is survived by his two brothers, Gene F. Roman, Jr. (Lorraine) and Joseph M. Roman (Joni); nieces and nephews, Gina (Garrett), Jason, Jayleen (Matthew) and Jayda (Christopher); great nieces and nephews, Grant, Gio, Gia, Jaxten, Christian, Lily, and Mackenzie; an uncle, Tom Karpency (Chris); an aunt, Mary Karpency and numerous cousins. Deceased is an uncle, Joe Karpency.
Family and friends are welcome from 3 to 7 P.M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, followed at 11:00 A.M. by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Masontown, Pa. with the Rev. Robert F. Smith as celebrant.
