Timothy R. Shook

Timothy R. Shook, 53, of Nemacolin, Pa. and formerly of Greensboro, Pa., passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, July 6, 2023.  He was born November 7, 1969 in Morgantown, W. Va., a son of the late Melvin R. Shook and Mable (Carneal) Shook Lane .  Tim was a 1987 graduate of Mapletown High School and resided in Greene County most of his life.  He worked for A-1 Electric Service in Venetia for 20 years before working at his present job with Westmoreland Electric for the past nine years.  Tim coached midget football at Bobtown and Carmichaels where the kids always referred to him as "Papa Shook".   He also coached flag football at the EQT REC Center in Waynesburg, Pa.  Tim enjoyed listening to Led Zeppelin, working on his 1989 Ford Mustang, karaoke, barbecuing and watching NASCAR races.  He was an animal lover and cherished his dogs, Zepplin and Jax.  Tim was known to be a practical joker and was an avid San Francisco 49ers Football fan.

Surviving are three sons, Cody R. Shook (Brittany) of Nemacolin and KC Shook and KJ Shook, both of Jefferson, Pa.; a daughter, Heather Shook (Kayla) of Brownsville, Pa. and the mother of his children, Cammie Kovach (George) of Jefferson, Pa.  Deceased are two sisters, Debra K. West and Tina Harper and his step father, Clyde T. Lane .

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.  Pastor Jeff Hathaway will officiate.

Interment will follow at Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro.
