Veronica Rodavich of Lawrence, Pa. and formerly of Carmichaels and Waynesburg, Pa. and Sarasota, Fla. died at 7:16 A.M. on Monday, April 23, 2007 at the home of her daughter, Emily Ann in Lawrence, Pa. She was born November 30, 1920 in Fairchance, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann (Buffer) Yoskovich. She was a self taught artist and sold much of her artwork and craft work in the 1970's and 1980's at a local boutique in Waynesburg. Her work included paintings, eggshell artwork and restorative and decorative artwork on antiques. She enjoyed painting flowers, most especially, the rose. In the mid 1980's, Mrs. Rodavich and her husband, Steve moved from Waynesburg to Sarasota, Fla. where she enjoyed fishing. While in Florida, she was an avid bridge player. She was known for her sense of humor and enjoyed the company of her family and friends. On September 13, 1937, she married Steve Rodavich, who died May 6, 1987. Surviving are a son, Rodney E. Rodavich and his wife, Jan of Waynesburg; a daughter, Emily Ann McClosky of Lawrence, Pa.; five grandchildren, Rodney Rodavich, Jr. and his wife, Jill, Robert Rodavich, Marion Geruschat, Stephen Geruschat and Cara Cullen and her husband, Mike; five great grandchildren, Zachary Rodavich, Mary Kate Cullen, Allison Cullen, Stephen Alexander Geruschat and Eli Benjamin Geruschat; a brother, William Yoskovich and his wife, Pauline of Lincoln Park, Mich.; a sister, Dorothy Ann Fera and her husband, Ralph of Hillsboro, N. C. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Steve E. Rodavich; two brothers, Joseph P. Yoskovich and Edward Yoskovich and three sisters, Margaret Gashie, Martha Blazek and Pauline Revak. Family and friends are welcomed from 3 to 5 and 7 to 7:30 P. M. on Wednesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. The funeral service will follow the visitation on Wednesday at 7:30 P.M. in the funeral home with the Rev. Harold O. Kelley officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside committal service at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Jefferson Memorial Park, 401 Curry Hollow Rd., Pittsburgh, Pa 15236. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either the National Children's Leukemia Foundation, 7316 Ave. U, Brooklyn, NY 11234 or to the Autism Society of America, Pittsburgh Chapter, 4371 Northern Pike, Monroeville, PA 15146.
