Catherine M. Grubbs

Catherine M. Grubbs, 88 of Leesburg, Va. and formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, died at 3:29 A.M. on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at her home. She was born August 24, 1920 in Waynesburg, Pa., a daughter of the late Vernon and Addie (Silman) Grubbs. Catherine was a member of the former Nemacolin Presbyterian Church in Nemacolin, Pa. She worked for Sohio, which later became Standard Oil and British Petroleum in Cleveland all of her working life. Surviving are two sisters, Ruth Stevulak of Salisbury, Md. and Eveyln Grubbs of Rices Landing, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are an infant brother, Raymond Grubbs and six sisters, Ella Sue Mason, Mamie McClarren, Lyndall West, Ethel Day, Mildred Garrison and Helen Nopwasky. Funeral arrangements will be private and under the direction of the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. Interment will take place at Greene County Memorial Park.
